Brewdog's Annual General Mayhem - PunkAGM2019
When we took the call from Brewdog to work with them at this year’s #punkAGM2019, the team were excited. The thought of working with a company who were creative and disruptive in their industry, in their words being “on a mission to make people as passionate about craft beer as we are”, it was an event we didn’t want to miss.
When you speak with client’s they often have a clear way in which they want to engage with their audience. They want to create an event experience which people will ultimately rave about for months to come. They look for social awareness of their event and they want people to tell all their friends and family about what they did. However, for the guys at Brewdog, it wasn’t just about this. With over 100,000 team members, 14,000 of which were in attendance over the two days at #punkAGM2019, providing added value to the event was key.
The team wanted to provide an experience for attendees which signified the importance of their contributions to the success of Brewdog’s phenomenal growth in the last 12 months. To create a legacy piece to look back on that recognised where everyone in attendance played a part.
Our Social Mosaic product was selected by the team and we started working together in making our mosaic experience bigger and better than ever before in true BrewDog style. With over 6,000 in attendance each day it was important that we made the mosaic boards larger than our standard size. We wanted to encourage as many attendees to use the mosaic software experience so it was imperative that we allowed for as many images to be taken and printed.
We had two roaming photographers capturing images of guests as they frequented the many pop up bars and food stalls whilst two of our team assisted with those printing and sticking their images onto the wall. Images were also collected through uploads to social media platforms where the hashtag #PunkAGM2019 was used. This ensured that the mosaic walls were complete by the end of the digital activation and that our clients were delighted with the overall outcome of the experience.
‘Greg, Lewis and the team did a great job – we’re very happy with how they turned out and all our guests really enjoyed the experience, Thanks for all your help and flexibility over the weekend. We’ll certainly be in touch for further events in the future’
